Camellia Growing Tips & Culture

Camellias are grown successfully out of doors in the United States from Long Island, NY, down along the Atlantic Coast, the Gulf Coast, and along the Pacific Coast from California to Washington. The camellia plant usually survives occasional temperatures as low as +10 degrees to 0 degrees F. Camellia flower buds are damaged at temperatures below +10 degrees to +15 degrees F.
